Description: When survival is at stake, Deon Nel's TAC1 Survival Knife will have your back. The TAC1 was originally developed by renowned knifemaker Rob Brown. Rob Brown, the iconic South African knifemaker, passed away in July of 2016, yet his legacy has lived on as his work influenced so many makers around the world. The TAC1 shows off Nel's work at its best. It works equally well as a hunting knife and for self defense.
The blade is hand ground from N690 stainless steel. It was brought to a meticulous 800 grit finish prior to applying black Cerekote, ensuring a flawless, strong, non-reflective blade. The clip and edge are razor sharp. N690 ensures a keen long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance, hard use knives.
Green canvas Micarta scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The handle is perfectly contoured for a secure, comfortable grip that you won't want to put down. It is completed with a brass lined lanyard hole. The integral cross guard helps your hand not slip forward onto the blade.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched, hand tooled cowhide sheath.
No matter where life's adventure will take you, this TAC1 Survival Knife will have your back.
Exceptional work throughout.
