For breakage resulting from carrier transit, please keep the entirety of original item(s) as well as all packaging and packing materials for future inspection by carrier.
This return policy applies to production items including chef's knives, gardening tools, shears, sharpening stones and knife cases unless specifically listed under our Special Return Policy listed below.

Merchandise can only be returned if it is in its original packaging, unused, and in resalable condition. Please note that knives cannot show any wear and must not have been used to cut anything or been sharpened. Please note that for safety, all saya, opened edge guards, hair shears, razors, brushes, and manicure tools cannot be returned or exchanged.
Items found to be damaged or used will not be accepted or credited for return or exchange. Please send all items for return via either insured USPS mail or insured Federal Express shipping. In cases of inappropriate returns or where a customer repeatedly makes returns, a restocking fee of up to 10% may be applied. Please understand that orders that are cancelled prior to receipt but after shipment are considered inappropriate returns. Please do not simply write "return to sender" on the package. In our experience, USPS can be very slow to return packages in this manner and it can cause substantial delays or even loss of product.
This return policy applies to all one-of-a-kind and "custom" knives including handmade (artisan-made) jewelry and knives. This includes items such as Chris Reeve Knives, Winkler Knives, and other knives made in limited production.
We know it is sometimes hard to select handmade items such as knives and jewelry based on photographs on the web. Though we work very hard to make sure that all items sold through us are exceptional, we know that you may order a knife that doesn't meet your expectations when you hold it in your hand.
Items to which this policy apply carry a three (3) day inspection period from the date of receipt during which they may be returned in original condition (minus the price of shipping and handling). After the inspection period, we cannot accept items for return. In cases where a customer repeatedly makes returns or if returns are deemed as inappropriate, a restocking fee of up to 10% may be applied.

When you ship the item back to us, please indicate the reason for your return, include the packing slip with your return, and wrap the package securely, using plenty of padding, being especially careful to pad the point. Be sure to include the sheath, case, or any other packaging if provided. For your protection, we recommend that you use either insured USPS mail or insured Federal Express shipping. Items returned including their packaging, sheaths, etc must arrive at BladeGallery Inc in new condition. Knives cannot have been used to cut anything.

If we are unable to receive return shipping costs, we will not be able to return the damaged goods. A 10% restocking fee will be charged on all items returned without either contacting us by phone or e-mail during the inspection period. If free standard shipping was selected at the time of the order, shipping, insurance, and handling costs will be deducted from the return.
Certain items cannot be returned. These include saya, hair shears, manicure tools, brushes, and other items where reselling the item may be considered inappropriate for sanitary and health reasons.
Fit and finish varies from maker to maker and is not considered a defect. We are happy to take a knife back if you are not happy with the fit and finish, but the customer is responsible for shipping costs.

It has always been our goal that our customers are completely satisfied with every purchase they make with us. Therefore, all of our products are carefully inspected prior to shipping. While we try our best to have our photographs reflect these changes, it is impossible to keep up with all of them. Changes in sheath style, finishes, etc do not constitute incorrect items and therefore shipping costs are non-refundable in these cases.
