Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought through and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. This Bob Lay Scout is an exceptional example of his work.
Dark toned mun ebony (Diospyros mun) is combined with dyed and stabilized box elder burl spacers. Alternating black fiber and copper spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The brass guard and pommel create a perfect balance in the hand.
The A2 tool steel blade will have exceptional edge holding. By mirror polishing the flats and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to Rc 60 for a keen, long lasting edge.
Accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath and cordura storage pouch.
