Description: This serious knife has a good, solid heft and feels comfortable in the hand. The handle has an elk carved into it, which presses against the palm giving an excellent grip. The carving is nicely detailed. Cricket ha carved an elk track into the crown butt. The brass guard is cleanly and simply fileworked and is 1/4 inch thick, providing balance to the bowie blade. The San Mai has a clear etch and creates a very dramatic look, revealing the 5160 carbon steel cutting edge, but providing support on the spine.
