Description: Aaron Frederick started making knives back in 1994 after his time serving in the US Navy. He served as a VBSS (Visit, Board, Search, Seizure) Officer responsible for investigating suspicious ships at sea. Aaron learned to make knives from his father-in-law John W. Smith and has since made a name for himself making a variety of different types of knives.
This Kit slipjoint is handmade by Aaron and features a blade made from Mike Norris stainless damascus. The pattern is highly captivating and will provide great edge retention. The blade can be opened by pinching the blade and has smooth action with a firm half stop.
The handle is made from mammoth ivory that is well matched in burnt cream tones. The ancient ivory is well polished and set in place with torx screws. The ivory scales are dovetailed to textured, blue anodized titanium bolsters. Handle scales are set on matching blue anodized titanium liners that surround a stainless backbar and spring.
Excellent work throughout!
