Description: This custom Single X frame lock flipper from by Jason Clark offers a handcrafted build that is both lightweight and compact for a pocket-friendly standby.
Its blade is made from high performing stainless damascus by Damasteel. It features a precise hollow grind with a swedge. The blade is perfectly centered with silky smooth action. It uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
A Money Micarta scale is dovetailed to a bolster formed from forged superconductor cable. Superconductor cable is made up of many highly conductive titanium-niobium alloy rods, which are then insulated with Copper and formed into a large cable. A cross-section wafer of cable is cut at an angle and forged to create the bolster. The micarta scales are formed using the same technique that is used to create rag micarta, yet here shredded dollar bills were used to create this unique handle. An anodized titanium frame forms the lock side, ensuring a lock with superior strength and durability. A minimal stainless damascus backspacer keeps the knife strong, yet extremely light. The anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
