Description: Knives by National Living Treasure Jerry Fisk are quite hard to obtain, considering his substantial wait list. The Sendero is a great all purpose hunter and is one of the most recognizable and copied hunting knife designs in existence. The name “Sendero” (meaning path or trail, in Spanish) came about when Jerry was carrying the prototype as he and Mastersmith Harvey Dean were hunting hogs in the thick Texas underbrush, following animal trails.
The blade is forged to shape from Jerry's wolves tooth pattern damascus. A differential heat treatment results in a hard, long lasting edge and softer, supportive spine. The blade is stamped "Fisk" on the left ricasso and "MS" (Master Smith) on the right. A distal tapered blade ensures perfect balance. Filework on the spine provides a great thumb purchase.
The stainless steel bolsters are satin finished and meet perfectly with presentation grade ancient walrus ivory mortised tang scales. The ivory has yellow and cream tones and is contoured to provide a comfortable and secure grip.
This knife includes a pouch style brown leather sheath by Blue Wolf designed for vertical carry.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
