Description: South African knifemaker George Muller is well known for creating exceptional knives with exotic materials. This folder has been in a private collection and by all appearances, George could have made it yesterday! It is in new condition.
The three inch drop point blade is made from RWL-34 stainless steel. RWL-34 is a premium powder metallurgy cutlery steel manufactured by ERASTEEL in Söderfors, Sweden. Because it is manufactured from rapidly solidified powders, the microstructure of the steel is much more uniform. This gives the steel much higher strength and resistance to cracking. A hollow grind ensures an easy to sharpen, long lasting edge. A swedge travels almost the entire length of the blade. The blade is easily opened with a right handed thumb stud inlaid with a faceted gemstone.
Giraffe bone scales sit on bronze anodized titanium liners for strength and durability. The liners surround a carbon fiber backbar keeping the knife light and fast. Damascus bolsters forged from carbon steel are dovetailed to the scales for a perfect fit. A cape buffalo hide pocket sheath keeps the knife close at hand.
Excellent fit throughout!
