Description: Mastersmith David Lisch is well known for his skill at throwing knives and hawks. My best advice is to never bet him he can't hit a target. This exceptional Damascus Throwing Hawk was made by him while he was a journeyman smith -- just a couple of months before he became a mastersmith in June of 2015. It has been in a private collection and is in new condition.
The head is forged to shape from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The pattern is high layer count and immediately captivating! A curly maple haft provides perfect balance.
This hawk will be a perfect choice for throwing, though it may be a prized hawk in a collection.
