Description: Mastersmith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the same technique -- creating a differentially heat treated blade with a hard edge and softer, supportive spine. The result is exceptional.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from Henry's own damascus. The complex Ws pattern damascus is high contrast and immediately captivating. The blade is distal tapered for a perfect balance.
A satin finished 416 stainless steel guard meets perfectly to the African blackwood handle. Jet black tones mix with dark striations. The wood has been sculpted for a particularly comfortable grip. Black fiber spacers assist the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The knife is accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
