Description: Renowned Japanese knifemaker Kiku Matsuda has been grinding blades for over 40 years and is a 5th generation knife grinder. His unique, dramatic grinds are well known throughout the knife industry. His father runs a small workshop in Seki, grinding blades for production knife makers. Kiku joined his father's business at the age of 15 and learned grinding technique from his father. Kiku's skill at the grinder has become legendary.
Blazer is among Kiku's most massive knives to date. The impressive 12 inch long OU-31 semi-stainless steel blade features Kiku's signature Hamaguri-ba (convex) grind for strength and durability. A fuller travels along each side of the blade. The weight favors the blade to give this piece incredible cutting power and swing. The spine has a generous amount of jimping to allow the user to really thumb-up on the blade for tasks that require a bit more precision.
The carved camo canvas micarta handle is comfortable and secure. A lanyard hole is provided on the pommel for the addition of a bit more security should the user choose to do so. The Blazer is sure to clear you path through any jungle.
Accompanied by a Kydex sheath.
