Description: This exceptional Lyle Brunckhorst folder features a X-ross bar locking mechanism. This unique lock was developed by knife designed Dan Perrault and is one of the strongest locking mechanisms ever created. The liner travels to the left, engaging directly into the "tang" of the folding blade -- making a lock that is nearly as strong as a fixed blade knife. Additionally, by moving the lock to the spine, it keeps fingers away from the blade.
The tumble finished blade is formed from ultra-high performance CPM154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical stainless steel has an extremely small grain structure -- resulting in a very keen, long lasting edge. Titanium liners and the pocket clip have been anodized to a deep blue. By using titanium, Lyle has kept this folder light in the hand. The scales are formed from micarta, one of the most durable materials used in knives. The pocket clip is reversible for left or right handed carry. Nice fit and finish throughout!
