Description: I love folders that have a cohesive theme. This is one of Cliff's best knives to date. Captivating, detailed images of a hippopotamus are combined with hippo tooth scales to make a knife you won't want to put down.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super-smooth and blade perfectly centered. He has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of .33". Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff spent considerable time over the past several years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The blade is formed from mosaic damascus steel. Twisted radials surround tiles depicting the detailed hippopotamus. By incorporating 1084, 4600E, 1018 and pure nickel to form the central mosaic tiles, Cliff creates exceptional contrast. The radials were forged from 1084, 4600E, 1018, 1095 and pure nickel. The bolsters meet perfectly to the cream toned hippo tooth scales. Anodized titanium liners are meticulous hand fileworked.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout! Silky-smooth action with a perfectly centered blade.
