Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought out and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship.
Striking emerald green maple is handsomely offset by a jet black buffalo spacer. The wood has a marble look to it, and is very unique. The stainless steel guard and butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand. Alternating black fiber and stainless spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. Bolster and end cap have been similarly polished. The blade has been heat treated to 59 Rc for optimal edge retention. The knife is accompanied by a tooled leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
