Description: Canadian knifemaker Brian Tighe creates knives with innovative designs that are truly unique to his own style. This exceptional folder comes from a collaborative effort between Brian and now retired engraver Judy Beaver. The folder was made by Brian in the early 1990's. It has been in a private collection since it was made. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. It does not appear to have been used to cut or been sharpened after its creation.
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade is satin finished with a dagger grind. The exposed edge remains unsharpened and has a nail nick for easy opening of the perfectly centered blade. Brian's signature makers mark is featured on the left hand side of the blade.
The titanium handle was engraved and anodized by Judy Beaver (now retired). The centerpiece features an inlay of green ray skin. It is almost more of a complementary statement to the detailed engravings of stingrays that grace each side. Each stingray is expertly anodized to give a feeling of depth and texture as they swim effortlessly through an azure sea.
An exceptional folder and a rare collaboration -- sure to be a perfect addition to any collection.
