Description: This impressive bowie was created by Journeyman Smith Gary Rodewald, and is named "Gambler's Friend". It has a deceptively simple yet elegant quality about it.
The blade is Firestorm pattern damascus hand forged from 1080 carbon steel and nickel. The distal tapered blade feels light and fast for the 1/4 inch stock steel used. A double hilt and ferrule are formed from the same billet of steel. The handle swells at the palm, moves into a slimmer waist and swells again at the end of the handle, ensuring a comfortable yet secure grip. A nicely stitched brown leather sheath by Nez Perce Saddlery (Gordon Kenly) accompanies this piece.
