Description: Sam Eddleman is an up-and-coming maker to watch. He apprenticed under Todd Begg, who is well known in the knife making world for having nothing less than exacting standards. As such, Sam's level of quality is remarkable. He creates an exceptional folder!
The asymmetrical ground blade is made from 154CM stainless steel, hardened to 59-60 Hrc, with a small secondary bevel for a strong, high performing edge. A long swedge provides perfect balance and creates a keen, aggressive tip. By satin finishing the flats and acid washing the grinds, Sam creates grind lines with clean, dramatic contrast.
The blade is perfectly centered and silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the discreet and ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
The handle is made out of rare Thunderstorm Kevlar -- an industrial-made Kevlar composite with brass fibers woven in. The result is a material that is as unique as it is durable. The scales sit on titanium liners, making this knife incredibly light and fast. The insides of the liners are jewel polished. A stainless steel pocket clip is mounted for tip-up carry.
Truly an exceptional maker to watch out for - excellent fit and finish throughout!
