Description: South African knifemaker André Thorburn creates an exceptional folder at an amazingly low price. The blade is perfectly centered and silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the discreet and ambidextrous pierced flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
The clip point, recurve S35VN stainless blade is meticulously hand satin finished in the grinds and mirror polished on the flats. S35VN is a super-steel created by Crucible. It takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds on to it. It is a rare steel that is also easily stropped back to a keen, hair popping edge. It is 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. The increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade has been hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge, with jimping on the spine to ensure a secure thumb purchase.
Black G10 scales have just enough texture for a secure grip. The anodized titanium clip is mounted for tip-up carry. The handle is completed with blue anodized titanium liners. Exceptional fit throughout. Perfectly centered blade with smooth action.
