Description: This hunter by Raymond Richard has an old world grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. A Scandinavian influence is clearly visible in this knife, though Ray's own style also shines through. It is both good-looking and highly capable. The blade is L6 carbon steel, an extremely tough steel with very good edge holding. The heat treatment of the blade ensures a great combination of hardness and toughness. A precise, Scandi-inspired grind line and hand-rubbed satin finish ensure this piece would hold its own in any collection, as well as being an excellent use knife.
The stacked handle is mammoth leg bone with leather spacers. It is sculpted to fill the palm comfortably - you won't want to put it down! The handle is completed with antique hammer finished wrought iron fittings. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
The knife is accompanied by a wet formed leather sheath -- also made by Ray.
