Description: Journeyman Smith Brad Singley is a maker to watch. This large bowie is among the finest that he has made to date.
He began by forging the broad carbon steel blade from 1084 carbon steel. The blade is hand satin finished for an heirloom quality. He hand fileworked the spine from the guard to the sharpened clip.
A silicon bronze guard and ferrule separate the blade from the sheep horn handle. By using a mortised tang construction, Brad has assured tremendous strength and integrity. The handle is completed with two 1/16" silicon bronze pins. The knife is accompanied by a 9/10 oz leather sheath. The front of the sheath is inlaid with alligator hide. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
