Description: This dramatic Tom Sterling miniature hunter is done in a prehistoric stone style. This miniature has been in a single private collection since it was made in the spring of 2010. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The blade is precision hand carved from 1080 carbon steel to resemble a knapped obsidian knife. Tom has meticulously engraved the percussion marks. Tom has become well known for his steel knives that are sculpted to resemble a flint knapped stone knife.
The handle is formed from an antiqued elk antler tine. Proportions are perfect throughout!
The knife is accompanied by a wood hinged black walnut presentation box.
Exceptional work throughout!
