Description: Swedish bladesmith Michael Andersson is a force to be reckoned with. Unlike many Nordic knifemakers, Michael believes very strongly in sole authorship, from forging the blade to shape, to creating the Damascus, to sewing the sheath. His style is immediately identifiable and is very dramatic. Micke is one of the few Swedish makers to make such large, impressive Bowies.
The massive blade is formed from five composite damascus bars. The central bar is a spider web pattern with a central spider tile. Bars of 20C carbon steel separate the central bar from an explosion pattern edge and spine. By forging the firecracker pattern from Uddeholm 15N20 and 20C carbon steels, Micke assures exceptional edge holding..
The damascus guard, pommel and ferrule are all forged from matching spider web pattern damascus. The fossil walrus ivory handle is formed from a single piece of walrus ivory. Accompanied by traditional Swedish leather sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
