Description: This presentation group of three museum-grade Plains style trade point arrows was created by Tom Sterling. The points are forged steel trade style with fire straightened red osier dogwood shafts and turkey feather fletching. Native Americans campfire-forged iron points from any available metals -- often wagon rims. These are short arrows for a centrally barreled (widened) shaft for use in the short and stiff saddle bow common among the Plains peoples.
The shafts measure approximately 25 1/2 inches in length. The points are approx. 2.75 inches in length and .7 inches wide. A walnut wall display rack is included.
