Description: This European style quillion dagger shows off Mastersmith John Horrigan's work at its best. Forged from 1095 and 15N20 carbon steels, the ladder pattern Damascus blade is hollow ground and has a central ridge that is perfectly centered. The hollow grind nicely brings out the ladder pattern. John's mark "Horrigan, MS" appears on the ricasso.
The dramatic handle is hand fluted ironwood accented with twisted silver wire. The handle is completed with hot blued mild steel fittings. The dagger is accompanied by a bull hide leather sheath with 416 stainless steel details. The throat and tip have been textured. A frog of matching hot blued mild steel completes the sheath. A true masterpiece!
