Description: This is an exceptional hunter by Mastersmith Steve Culver. It is named for the Cimarron Cutoff, a section of the Santa Fe Trail. This section, which was particularly treacherous while it was used as a 19th century transportation route, is tremendously scenic and a great area for hunting.
The 4 1/2 in. Damascus blade was forged to shape from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels for a keen, long lasting edge. A distal taper results in optimal balance. The Damascus is a captivating feather pattern. The 416 stainless steel guard is perfectly fit to the blade and amber stag handle. The mortised tang handle is secured with stainless pins. The stag is nicely matched and provides a sure, comfortable handle. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
