Description: Jay Hendrickson's work is something that always catches my attention. His sense of design, fit and finish can be found nowhere else. The appleseed grind, a hallmark of his work, creates an edge that is durable, while being super-sharp.
This upswept hunter was forged 5160 carbon steel. The blade has an enticing shape that is nicely mirrored in the down turned handle. A differential heat treated assures a keen, long lasting edge with a soft, supporting spine.
The curly maple handle has a central "escutcheon" formed from turquoise outlined with fine silver inlay. Ribbons of fine silver travel out from the escutcheon and are completed in a copper ornamental pin. A brass guard brings the weight toward the middle of the knife. The knife is accompanied by a kudu hide sheath with a leather throat. Exceptional work throughout!
