Description: Ron Best creates a dramatic knife -- with a strong emphasis on integrals. This technique shows tremendous control -- the steel parts, from blade to guard and handle are all made from one piece of steel.
The grind lines are very clear and well performed. The hollow ground blade will have a strong edge that is easy to maintain. The upswept blade features a false edge that has been brought just short of being fully sharpened. The blade has been meticulously hand satin finished. The integral 440C stainless steel handle has been sculpted and meticulously inlaid with wooly mammoth molar. The mammoth tooth has caramel tones with blue/grey rivers traveling across. The steel throughout the handle has been mirror polished. The knife balances comfortably in the hand. Exceptional fit and finish throughout on a very captivating, elegant knife.
