Description: Mastersmith Heather Harvey is inspired by the knives and spears of the indigenous peoples in surrounding areas. Her love for this work shines through in this exceptional spear. Due to an illness, this is one of the first sole authorship knives that Heather has created in over a year.
The dramatic blade was forged to shape from carbon steels and is a bold pattern that Heather calls Gaboon Viper. The blade is secured in a large gemsbok horn using copper and nickel silver pins. The base of the horn is finished off with an Old Swaziland coin depicting the late King Sobhuza. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
