Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles.
The 5 in. dagger ground blade is 1050 carbon steel and has been differentially heat treated using the traditional Japanese clay technique. The hamon (temper line) results in a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. It is particularly difficult to create a hammon on a dagger ground blade. The handle combines salmon brown toned fossil walrus ivory accented with an elegant groove and antiqued sterling silver fittings. The sterling silver brings the weight back into the handle for a secure hold. Exceptional work throughout.
