Description: Anders has once more produced an exceptional fighter. The straight backed blade has a long false edge, keeping the blade fast and light. The blade has been heat tempered using a traditional Japanese method that involves packing clay onto the center of the blade. The result is a temper line (called a hamon) -- this shows a differential hardness between cutting edge and the center of the blade -- and a very strong knife.
The handle is formed from a single piece of fossil walrus ivory. The ivory is predominantly caramel toned with rays of burnt cream. Antiqued bronze fittings nicely compliment and protect the ivory. Exceptional work throughout.
