Description: Journeyman Smith David Banks is a long time friend of Audra Draper. Starting making knives in 1993, he apprenticed under Mastersmith Ed Fowler with Mastersmith Audra Draper (then an apprentice). In fact, he recalled a story to me of when he was working in Ed Fowler's show and Audra came in for the first time. He assisted her in a jewelry project, which eventually got her interested in knifemaking.
Bill Moran's influence is tremendous throughout forged knives. This Moran Style Bowie captures Bill's style and sense of design. The Damascus blade was forged to shape from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels for a keen, long lasting edge. The curly maple handle is nicely sculpted for a sure grip. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
