Description: ABS Mastersmith Audra Draper makes an impressive knife and among those, her sheep horn hunters are highly coveted. The design clearly hearkens back to her apprenticeship under Mastersmith Ed Fowler. She makes very few these days. To find one in black horn sheep is nearly unheard of. This exceptional hunter has been in a single collection and is excellent condition.
The heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Ed Fowler and has been proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere -- with 52100 carbon steel being one of the best edge holding steels for knives. The blade has been differentially heat treated, assuring a strong spine and excellent edge retention. The handle is gently curved and provides a sure grip, even when wet.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
