Description: This exceptional Ishi style point is knapped by Dr. Joe Higgins from rare opaque black obsidian from Northern California. The Ishi point was demonstrated to anthropologists in 1911 by the "last wild Indian" in California. It is the "Holy Grail" of pressure knapping. Once a knapper can master the elegant shape, thinness, and expanded notches, he can make any kind of pressure knapped stone tool. Accompanied by walnut display box.
