Description: Styled in the shadow of Jim Bridger, Jeremiah Johnson, Kit Carson, and the Native American among whom these popular historical figures co-existed, this piece harkens back to the early 1800s where the frontiers of our country were being pushed west by men who were comfortable by themselves, but not to be trifled with.
Inspired by unconventional men who relied heavily on conventional hardware, this example of the 19th century mountain man's "iron ware" invokes an appreciation of the basics that frontiersmen of all stripes relied on to make it through the tough years alone in the wilderness.
A favorite of the Aikara, Sioux, Blackfoot, and the dreaded Comanche, guinea feathers festoon a deerskin wrapped sheath that lends authenticity to the copper-clad handle of premium stag that pushes the phrase "understated authority" to a new level.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
