Description: A combination of gleaming steel, pure copper, oatmeal colored oosic, and vividly twisted Moroccan briar, this hollow ground fighter with its subtle yet fully functional sharpened swedge embodies a serious tone despite its formal handle. The bias-cut joinery of the handle components is a departure from the more common form of butt joining multiple parts of the knife handle, producing a rare degree of fit and finish seldom seen in an old standard.
Adding yet another dimension is the solid copper guard and butt cap, highlighted by alternating black and copper spacers.
Inspired by Indians of the Great Plains, the deerskin wrapped sheath reflects a unique understanding of the craftwork of these creative peoples by the knifemaker. The result is an unusual example of multi-cultured harmony in both old and new.
