Description: The convex ground ATS-34 stainless steel blade has been textured and etched. The spine has been fileworked in a broad vine pattern, providing both a secure thumb purchase and an attractive detail. The guard is formed from stellar sea cow, which became extinct in 1768 shortly after its discovery. The polished handle is formed from a canine tooth from a cave bear. The cave bear, which lived from 10,000 to 500,000 years ago could weigh over 900 lbs (approximately 3 times the size of a modern bear). This would have been one that you would want to run away from! Excellent fit and finish throughout.
