Description: Des makes knives that have an intrinsic harmony. The high-tech materials in this knife are juxtaposed against some of the best that nature can offer. The silicon nitride for the indent ball and the release ball came from the space program. The bolsters are meteorite from one of the largest strewn fields in the world and fell to earth over 4 billion years ago. The mother of pearl has wonderful depth and color. Des' craftsmanship means that this unusual locking mechanism works smoothly and comfortably. The flipper opener is easy to use. The ball lock release makes for an easy one handed close.
