Description: After Mike Draper had back surgery last year, he spent many months laid up in bed thinking about being in his shop working. During this time, he sketched many new knives and developed a different style than he had previously been creating. This sole-authorship folder is the result. The lines are extremely dramatic. The weight of the knife sits squarely in the palm for a secure and comfortable hold. Inlaid on each side of the handle are 5 blacklip pearl 'dots', which are reflected in the blacklip mother of pearl thumbstud. Excellent action and a perfectly centered blade. The Damascus backbar is surrounded by 15N20 liners that have been engraved in a traveling vine pattern. The backbar has been heat blued on the inlaid with sterling silver wire inlay to create a larger version of the traveling vine pattern for truly captivating effect.
