Description: Jonny Walker Nilsson's knives have an elegant simplicity to them that is rarely found. Here, he has created a traditional Swedish hunter, using a blade created by Gunnar Runo Bergström. In Nordic countries, makers typically specialize in just the handle or just the blades. In so doing, he is able to become a true master in this art.
Gunnar Runo Bergström´s grandfather was very well known as a mastersmith already in his days, and his stamp (RB) is well established in Scandinavia. When Gunnar Runo Bergström inherited the shop from his father, also a smith, he kept his grandfather´s stamp (Ernst) Runo Bergström stamp, RB. Gunnar Bergström is 51 years old and is a good hunting friend of Jonny´s.
The reindeer horn bolster has been hand engraved with pine bark powder rubbed into engravings for dark coloring. The detail is spectacular. As you would expect from a maker as renowned as Jonny Walker Nilsson, the fit and finish is excellent!
