Description: Up and coming knifemaker, Jordan Buckley has tremendous attention to detail. Jordan, who is 21 years old (as of the spring of 2025) is a Washington native. His passion for bladesmithing is clear throughout all his knives. His work and aesthetic have tremendous refinement despite only having been making knives for 5 years. Perhaps it is no surprise that he aspires to become a mastersmith by 25!
This high-performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. The blade is well suited for chopping and slicing vegetables, meats, and more. The gentle arc of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking, chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board. At 7 inches, it is a comfortable size for easy control and will get almost any task done with ease. This nimble knife is sure to become your kitchen favorite.
The blade is hand ground from AEB-L stainless steel. AEB-L is ultra high performance -- combining the convenience of stainless steel with the ability to take an acute edge and hold it (a characteristic usually only found in carbon steels). AEB-L steel was designed for razors, which need corrosion resistance, high hardness, and very acute edges. Once you try a knife that is made with AEB-L, you'll immediately understand why it is coveted by knife enthusiasts, knifemakers, and professional chefs. The resulting blade has an extremely keen, long-lasting edge. The blade is beautifully thin for effortless slicing. The spine and choil are nicely rounded for comfort.
The handle is hand contoured green mountain Richlite. The handle swells at the palm and provides a comfortable grip. It is finished with a mammoth ivory spacer and buffalo horn ‘bolster’. Like other knives, this knife should not be put in the dishwasher.
Excellent work throughout!
