Description: This boot dagger is the exceptional creation of South African bladesmith Willie van der Merwe. The slim-profiled knife will be easy to keep close by, yet will have plenty of cutting power. This knife will easily be a prized addition to any serious collection or your favorite companion while out in the wild.
The dagger blade is hand ground N690 stainless steel. N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge that is very chip resistant. The blade features a meticulous hand rubbed satin finish. A 24K gold ant is inlaid next to Willie's touchmark.
The stabilized oak burl handle is low profile. It meets seamlessly with polished 303 stainless steel bolsters. Hand carving on the scales moves into the bolsters. The handle is finished with a 303 stainless steel pommel.
To keep the knife close at hand, a leather custom sheath is included. Carving in the handle is reflected in tooling on the sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
