Description: Colorado bladesmith Fred Ott makes an exceptional knife. This Nordic inspired Field Knife shows his tremendous sense of design and skill in implementation.
The 6 inch long blade is Fred’s hand forged Twist pattern damascus. By combining 1095 and 15N20 carbon steels, Fred ensures a keen, long lasting edge. A distal taper creates an optimal balance.
The stacked handle combines sections of bloodwood, ebony, and stabilized ancient walrus jawbone. The ebony pommel is dovetailed to the bloodwood for a perfect fit. The handle is nicely contoured textured for a secure, comfortable grip. Stippling in the bloodwood and fluting in the ancient bone help stop your hand from slipping.
The knife is accompanied by a Nordic influenced single seam leather sheath.
An exceptional addition to any collection and perfect for use out in the field.
