Description: Mastersmith David Lisch has become well known for his bowies and kitchen knives, but before all that he was a blacksmith. This integral hunting knife show's David's skill at the forge -- a skillset earned working at the forge for countless thousands of hours. David brings a skill level of forging that few bladesmiths possess.
This Integral Clip Point Hunter with Stag features a hand forged 5160 carbon steel blade with a hand rubbed satin finish. 5160 combines excellent edge holding and chip resistance. To prevent rust it is important to clean and dry after use. The blade is flat ground and razor sharp. David's touchmark is engraved into the spine of the knife.
The bolster is integral to the blade. This technique has superior structural integrity and requires a particularly talented smith.
The handle is a downturned section of premium Sambar stag. The natural texturing of the stag provides a comfortable, sure grip. The end of the handle is capped with textured and antiqued bronze. The knife has excellent balance and will feel right at home whether in a private collection or while out in the field.
Excellent work throughout!
