Description: Mastersmith Tommy Gann makes an exceptional knife. His sense of design is only matched by his skill of implementation. This Lanny's Clip style slipjoint is exceptionally well made and will feel right at home whether in a private collection or carried daily in the pocket.
The clip point blade is 52100 carbon steel. The grinds are satin finished and the flats the blade feature a hand rubbed satin finish. Many knifemakers and users feel that 52100 is among the highest performing steels currently used to make knives. A nail nick makes it easy to open the knife. The blade has smooth, consistent action and a firm half stop, easily opened with a light pull.
Jigged African blackwood handle scales are set on satin finished stainless steel liners. African blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) is among the most dense, durable woods in the world and is highly prized for its jet black appearance. The scales are perfectly fit to 416 stainless steel bolsters. This slim profile knife is lightweight and easy to carry.
Excellent work throughout!
