Description: This boot knife was created by Montana knifemaker Bob Crowder. Its shows his exceptional attention to detail and is a fine example of his work. It was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Bob could have made it yesterday!
The boot ground blade was forged from Bob's own firestorm damascus, combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels to ensure excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The spearpoint blade features perfectly executed symmetrical hollow grinds. Both sides of the blade are fully sharpened. Bob's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is ancient woolly mammoth molar, secured to the full tang using stainless steel pins. The scales are nicely dovetailed to satin finished stainless steel bolsters. A distal tapered tang provides perfect balance in hand. Black G-10 and stainless steel liners finish the handle.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched black leather custom sheath made by Crowder is included.
Excellent work throughout!
