Description: This beautiful Leaning Boot Knife was created by Bob Crowder of Thompson Falls, Montana. Bob sold his first knife back in 1985 and served as president of the Montana Knifemakers Association for many years. This knife has been in a knifemaker’s private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, Crowder could have made it yesterday.
The blade was hand forged from Crowder's own damascus combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels to ensure excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The bold pattern is high contrast and immediately engaging. A choil allows your to choke up for more detailed tasks. Bob's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is fluted jet black buffalo horn attached to the full tang using steel pins. The scales are heirloom fit to satin finished stainless steel bolsters. The handle is comfortable and the fluting provides a solid grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched leather custom sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
