Description: This knife was handmade by David Kurt of Molalla, Oregon. David makes a wide range of knife styles from tactical knives, fighters, hunting knives, chef knives, fillet knives, and knives aimed at daily carry. His knives are built to last a lifetime and come with a lifetime sharpening guarantee. This large fighter was made back in 2013 and was kept in a knifemaker’s private collection. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, David could have made it yesterday!
The large 8-1/3 inch blade is hand ground and mirror polished 154CM stainless steel. 154CM combines good edge holding with excellent chip resistance and high corrosion resistance. The blade is flat ground and razor sharp. Jimping along the thumb ramp provides a comfortable thumb purchase. David's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is stabilized buckeye burl wood, hand contoured to provide a comfortable grip. The finger grooves lock in your hand and prevent the handle from sliding. Blue G-10 liners add a nice touch of color to the buckeye burl scales.
To keep the knife close at hand, a black leather custom sheath with retention snap is included.
Excellent work throughout!
