Description: Mastersmith David Lisch lives in Yelm, Washington. He is well known for his bowies, hunting knives, and kitchen knives. He has a level of creativity that few knifemakes can emulate. When combined with his high level blacksmith skills, he is able to create incredible knives that are highly desirable worldwide. The Peace Maker is influenced by traditional Native American pipe stone peace pipes.
The damascus blade is forged from David's own damascus combining 1084 and 15N20 carbon steel to ensure excellent edge holding and chip resistance. The bold pattern is easy to see from a distance and demands further inspection. The blade is flat ground and razor sharp. David's touchmark and M.S. mark are engraved on the left side of the blade.
The peace pipe handle combines stag antler with a pipestone guard. A brass plug pulls out of the rear of the knife revealing a pipestone bowl with a copper tube. A hole drilled into the side of the stag handle secures the mouthpiece.
A rawhide leather sheath made by Lisch is included to keep the knife close at hand. A copper rod installed on the sheath holds the mouth piece in place when the pipe is not in use. Native American style trade beads finish the sheath.
Excellent work throughout on a playful knife!
