Description: This elegant Neptune folder was made by South African knifemaker Neels Roos. Neels lives in Cape Town. In July 2008, he and Fannie la Grange formed the Cape Knifemakers Guild, where he continues to be the secretary. Roos joined the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa in January of 2012.
The blade is hand ground stainless damascus forged by Damasteel. At 60 Hrc, it will have a keen, long lasting edge. The hollow ground blade is well centered with smooth action. It is easily flicked out with the inobtrusive front flipper tab. With a little practice, the front flipper can be easily used with either your forefinger or thumb.
Toxic Storm FatCarbon scales meet with hand engraved stainless steel bolsters. The floral scroll engraving was done by Roos and inspired by Araud van Tilburgh of Belgium. Bronze anodized grade 5 titanium liners surround a hardened N690 stainless steel backbar. The backbar is etched.
Exceptional work throughout!
