Description: Primitive Woodsman Knives are made in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Primitive Woodsman Knives is led by bladesmith Josh Morgan. Having grown up spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing, Josh knows what is required to make a good knife. He had the opportunity to learn the subtleties of knifemaking from Mastersmith Jason Knight while working at a prominent knife company in Boone, NC. The influence of this company and Jason Knight is immediately evident looking at Primitive Woodsman Knives We are excited to offer these American-made knives at BladeGallery.
The Buffalo Cove Bushcrafter is an excellent full-size bushcrafting knife. From the zero ground Scandi grind to the scales featuring a bow drill divot for starting fires, this knife has you covered. If that wasn't enough, 10% of all BC Bushcrafter sales go to The Primitive Woodsman scholarship fund to sponsor youth wilderness education in association with the Buffalo Cove Camp!
The 4 inch blade is 80CrV2 carbon steel, known for providing extreme toughness and excellent edge holding. The blade features a black oxide finish with satin finished bevels. The Scandi grind, a favorite of bushcrafters, is razor sharp. Because the knife is made from carbon steel, we recommend using camellia oil to prevent rust and oxidation.
Canvas Micarta handle scales are secured to the full tang using a brass pin and lanyard tube. The contoured handle fills your hand and provides a comfortable grip with no hot spots. A divot in the center of the handle is designed to hold a bow drill in place for firestarting. The pommel extends beyond the scales allowing it to be used for striking.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Kydex sheath with a Tek-Lok belt clip is included.
Made in the USA.
